S4 Mechanical Engineering or N3 with trade test in refrigeration.
Experience in handling projects.
At least 3 years experience in a Pharmaceutical or Food Production Environment.
Experience in PLC and SCADA systems will be an advantage.
Experience in electrical installation.
Wireman’s licence will be an advantage.
Knowledge of SAP PM or similar programme will be an added advantage.
Experience in low cold refrigeration and cold air-conditioning essential.
Own transport.
Computer literate in MS Office.
Ability to work independently.
Maintenance management course will be an added advantage.
Experience in pumps, filters, hydraulics, filling machines, pneumatics, air compressors and generators.
Basic welding and mechanical experience.

Duties Required:
Maintain and install refrigeration equipment.
Assist Operators with setup and operation of machines.
Minimise downtime of production machines.
Perform routine maintenance on machines.
Conduct daily checks on machines and their support services.
Ensure the continued operation of the plant equipment.
Evaluate and facilitate repairs of plant equipment and identify actions to prevent recurrences.
Be part of the on call team after hours.
Provide first line training to Operators.
Assist in projects associated with new plant and equipment.
Provide cross-functional support.
