Skills Required: B Sc Electrical plus GCC. Minimum 3 years experience.
Duties Required: To manage properties repairs and maintenance, and Occupational Safety, Health and Environment. To act as a competent person for site in terms of the General Machinery Regulations of the Ohsact. Site Management:- Control budget for properties repairs and maintenance. Manage contractors activities on site and ensure that site services meet current and future requirements. Monitor energy usage on site. Acts as the competent person under the OHSA Act for the supervision of machinery at site level. SHE Strategy:- Develop the properties and SHE strategic plan, and ensure implementation. Provide direction and oversight for all facilities related projects, processes and capacity planning. Manage SHE and Security staff. Security Management:- Assume overall responsibility for the integrity of the Site Security System. Conduct Security investigations and liaise with the local authorities as required. Policies and Procedures:- Initiate and approve SHE Policies, Procedures, Protocols, Work Instructions, Codes of Practice, etc. Operate according to standard operating procedures and within the parameters of applicable legislation. Property Maintenance:- Prepare budgets for all sites maintenance. Ensure that the building services are fully functional and available (water, lights, plant, air conditioning, etc). Project Management:- Identify opportunities for improvements and design and develop solutions and technical specifications. SHE Audits:- Monitor, maintain and continually audit the SHE system within the business system structure. Ensure full legislative and standard compliance to all specified and required standards and legislation. Maintain certification. Co-ordinate external SHE Audits. Risk Management & Assessment:- Develop a Risk Management program that is in-line with business SHE requirements. Conduct continuous risk assessment in the workplace. Information Management and Direction Focusing:- Manage the system for data collection and analyse for trends and focus areas for improvement drives. Drive the understanding and improvement program's to continually improve upon all identified risks. Circulate data and management reports to share information on focus areas and needs for improvement. Continuous Improvement:- Keep up-to-date with latest trends/developments in SHE Management and adopt best practices. Review the SHE Management system and make recommendations for improvements.
