Duties Required: Accountable for accelerating the company's Lean Transformation by ensuring superior and faster internal dialogue about change, providing fresh and relevant information to employees when it matters, increasing the range of channels for reaching staff, capturing feedback and ideas from them, collecting and sharing data to track progress of the transformation, and continuously improving self engagement in proactive two-way communications. Value Proposition:- Must be able to orchestrate maximum internal awareness, conviction, commitment and action. She/he will dramatically raise the game for internal communications for the company and positively influence the way they are driven from now on. The Lean Transformation Communication Officer will work as part of the lean project team to stay abreast of programme developments and promote substantial improvements in the way internal communications are thought about and executed. Responsibilities & Tasks:- Execute Lean Transformation communication plan (prepare materials and gather feedback). Work closely with project team to ensure communications capture important milestones and developments. Be proactive and persistent in pursuing newsworthy stores, by interviewing the company staff and conducting research. Provide advice, strategic guidance and tactical support to other plants rolling out Lean Transformation. Co-ordinate Lean awareness-building activities at special events eg fun days. Brief Lean Transformation project leader as to progress on communication objectives. Establish and maintain systems to measure impact of communications on key metrics. Provide guidance and support to leaders / Managers preparing to communicate with their teams eg briefing packs, coaching. KPI's:- Increased respect for Managers as role models for new leadership and communication behaviours. Positive feedback from staff when surveyed. Staff recall and trust in key messages. No communication 'black holes' ie uninformed people in any area.
